๐ Manual-Tori
When the bot goes down, the game doesn't stop players keep Shiritori alive manually.
๐ Getting Started
Manual-Tori is a **community fallback mode** that only runs while the bot is offline.
- Players pick any text channel (often a dedicated Shiritori space).
- There's no `/startshiritori` command โ just begin posting words as in normal Shiritori.
- Instead of the bot, the **community itself validates words** by reacting to messages and using shared understanding of the rules.
๐ฎ How to Play
Manual-Tori follows the same word-chain rules as Multiplayer Shiritori, but entirely moderated by humans:
- Your word must start with the last letter of the previous word.
- No repeats! If someone notices a duplicate, the chain is considered broken.
- Validity is judged by **community agreement**:
- Players react with โ if they agree it's valid
- โ if it's invalid (misspelled, not a word, etc.)
- *Discussion is allowed* if unclear.
- No back-to-back turns. Let others play before you go again.
- Games are informal, but still follow the spirit of Shiritori โ creative, valid word choices.
๐ค Community Moderation
Since there's no bot:
- **Players self-check** each other's words.
- Disputes can be resolved by majority reaction or by moderators if needed.
- Edge cases (loanwords, obscure terms, extremely long words) are usually decided by **consensus**.
๐ Ending a Game
A Manual-Tori session ends if:
- A repeated word slips through and is caught
- No one can think of a valid continuation
- The group decides to reset
- Or, the bot comes back online (normal Shiritori resumes)
There are **no automatic summaries** โ just whatever the players kept track of manually.
โ ๏ธ Tips & Etiquette
- Keep it casual. Manual-Tori is about having fun while the bot rests.
- React fairly. Don't downvote valid words just to mess with others.
- Communicate. If you're unsure, talk it out โ community judgment is the rule here.
- Transition smoothly. Once the bot is back online, shift back to Multiplayer Shiritori to keep records consistent.
