⬜ Wordle

A side mode for solo players who love deduction, vocabulary, and a bit of pressure.

It’s not Shiritori — but it’s still a battle of brains against the bot.

🔹 How to Start

Use /wordle

You’ll choose a few options before the game begins:

  • game_length: Length of the secret word (anywhere from 5 to 18 letters).
  • mode:
    • Standardized — A handpicked list of curated, reasonable words.
    • Full Dictionary — Nearly any valid word, including obscure and wildcard entries.
  • include_hyphens: Whether or not the secret word is allowed to contain a hyphen (default is False).

Once you confirm the settings, the bot will create a private thread and secretly pick the target word.

🔹 How to Play

You’ll have to guess the secret word using only your wits — and the bot’s emoji feedback:

  • 🟩 Green — Correct letter, right position.
  • 🟨 Yellow — Correct letter, wrong position.
  • 🟥 Red (or gray) — Letter not in the word at all.

🧠 Rules & Limits

  • You must guess words that match the chosen length.
  • You only get:
    • 6 attempts in Standardized mode.
    • 8 attempts in Full Dictionary mode.
  • The game ends if:
    • You guess the word correctly.
    • You use up all your attempts.
    • You go inactive for 3 minutes.

📊 Optional Strategies

  • Use shorter words to learn letter patterns before diving into big guesses.
  • Turn hyphens ON if you want a real challenge (especially at longer lengths).
  • In Full Dictionary mode, expect curveballs — including rare acronyms and colang words if allowed.

ℹ️ Just for Fun

While Wordle doesn’t contribute to Shiritori stats or leaderboards, it’s still a great way to test your vocab reflexes between matches. Though it has its own leaderboards and statistics if you do like this form.
