Documentation

This template is used to quickly add a definition page for a word in the Word compendium.

Parameter	Description	Use
pos	The word's part of speech.	Required
def1, def2, def3, def4, def5, def6, def7, def8, def9, def10	The word's definition(s). Incompatible with defm	Required (def1 or defm)
defm	An alternate method of providing definitions. Mandatory for words with more than 10 definitions. Incompatible with def1-10	Required (defm or def1)
pro1, pro2, pro3	The pronunciation(s) of the word (must use standard IPA).	Optional
cj	The word's conjugation/declension (possessives are NOT included).	Optional
alt	Alternative forms of the word (not conjugations/declensions), all words should have links and be separated by commas.	Optional
w	Changes the word shown above the definition(s).	N/A
t	Changes the word shown as the title of the article. See the word compendium guidelines for when this should be used.	N/A
lcat	Overrides the automatic categorization into word length categories (See for an example). This is obligatory on words using apostrophes.	N/A
i	Overrides the automatic categorization into alphabetical sorting categories.	N/A
nocat	Removes all automatic categories.	N/A

Parts of speech

A word's part of speech is essentially what kind of word it is (e.g. 's part of speech is a noun). Below is a list of all possible parts of speech:
